Sue Moon and Dixie Clark provide the skills needed to change unwanted habits, release emotional blocks, and feel more prepared to deal with the challenges of life. All workshops and training combine education along with experiential processes for optimal learning. Techniques include NLP, meditation, movement, energy work, and toning to create a truly powerful learning environment.

Amazing Soups with Sue Moon

Be Conscious of what you are eating. Learn many recipes for fabulous tasting soups that help to heal and nurture your body. This class is educational and very experiential. We will all be in the kitchen, laughing/talking/chopping veggies and more!


What could be more satisfying on a cold winter day than a warm bowl of soup? That is why Sue has developed many comforting combinations of different soups. During this class we will discuss the nutritional and emotional benefits of soup. Different tastes to evoke different feelings. Adding simple ingredients can boost your immune system and strengthen your body. Wake up your body with light but satisfying cuisine!


Take home recipes and new ideas to make your food preparation happier, healthier and easier.


Sue has been counseling people on diet and nutrition in this area since 1985. She knows how difficult changing a diet or lifestyle can be and offers her insights and wisdom to make these transitions smoother and fun!

The Art of Letting Go

The Art of Letting Go- is a two week class. “Letting go is a central theme in spiritual practice, as we see the preciousness and brevity of life. When letting go is called for, if we have not learned to do so, we suffer greatly, and when we get to the end of our life, we may have what is called a crash course. Sooner of later we have to learn to let go and allow the changing mystery of life to move through us without our fearing it, without holding and grasping.” Jack Kornfield


Letting go of what no longer serves us sounds so simple, but can be a difficult process. We hold on to past hurts, relationships that we have outgrown, and patterns and belief that no longer serve us. There can be a sense of safety and security in the old ways. And the question of “Who am I without this?” keeps us holding on. There is a fear of the unknown, of expansion , of losing control and a lack of trust that we are supported on this journey. And yet, to open to our destiny and our Divine nature, learning to trust and let go is an essential part of this process.


This 2 week course is to help explore the art of letting go. There will be many processes and meditations designed to help you become aware of what you’re holding on to on all levels and releasing what no longer serves your highest good.

Astral Travel

Out of body travel, sometimes referred to as astral projection, is a means by which our consciousness leaves the physical body and its limitations. Our consciousness is then not under the restrictions of time or space, and in just moments may move halfway around the world or into outer space, exploring and observing. Often when you go to a new place and feel as if you had been there before, you have traveled there earlier to check it out first. There are three different kinds of out of body travel, Astral, Mental and Soul. During this class we will utilize meditation techniques to travel all three ways. This is an experiential class that the participants will experiment and enjoy the freedom that astral projection affords.

Astrology — Evolution of the Soul

This course if for anyone who has wanted a deeper understanding of what their lives mean.  Whether or not you have studied astrology before, this class promises to inform and enlighten. This class is open to students of astrology and beginners.


Class meets one Sunday afternoon a month for 6 months  12noon - 4pm:   5/23, 6/20, 7/18, 8/15, 9/19, 10/17


The planets are an intuitive link to understanding yourself and your reason for incarnating here at this time. Much can be gathered from this data even tracking the journey of your Soul. Your Soul’s evolution is a joy filled journey of evolution through learning. The lessons you have chosen to grow through in this life are revealed like the sides of a many faceted gem through studying the birth chart, the aspects, the transits, the progressions and much more.


Each month we will focus on understanding how our own individual chart reveals who we are, this is a personal journey into self-realization. May - Signs/Planets/Houses-memorize them, meditate on them and they reveal their inner nature to you. How to delineate the Horoscope.


June - The Ephemeris (charts of the planet movements or Transits) and the Aspects. The mathematical degrees planets/Moon/asteroids etc are apart show how they relate to each other. In this class we will learn how to read these aspects and apply that knowledge to our own charts and to others. You will need to bring yours and another person’s birth data to this class.


July - Karma revealed! Vertex, Lilith, North & South Node, Chiron and the Planets show Karma or the balancing of our journey’s energies. This is a deeply revealing class that will help you understand why certain places/people/things are in your life and how best to work with that.


August-The Outer planets or The Big Kahunas: Jupiter-Uranus-Saturn-Neptune-Pluto. Saturn the Stern Teacher and the Saturn Returns mark major forks in the road of our destinies and so do the other outer planets. We will study the “Returns” in this class and apply that as predictive astrology; how we can tell the future.


September - In this 5th class we will study the inner planets: Mercury; Venus, Mars. We will also study the retrograde patterns of planets and what that means in terms of getting anything done and how best to use those “quieter” times.


October-The Moon phases. How fitting to be covering the New Moon/Full Moon; Lunar Eclipses this month as it is Sue’s birth month!

Awakening at Mid-Life

Don’t let anyone fool you. Mid-life is not about shrinking back or becoming less than who you used to be. It is not about the loss of beauty and vitality. The energy that comes to a woman during midlife is one of transformation and power. It is one of rebirth and renewal. There is such a richness to this stage of life that calls forth a return to our natural state of wisdom, sensuality and beauty at the deepest levels. We can no longer be bound by limitations that constrict our energy. We can no longer be bound by myths about this stage of life that keep us small. This is our time of evolution.


This class is for women who want to learn how to use these powerful energies in a way that honors their spirit and aligns with their purpose.


Honoring your life story is an important way to acknowledge and accept this phase of your life.


This 4 week course will focus on the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual needs and accomplishments you are living through at this time. For Women mid-life is generally 35-60, though through poor health may even start as early as the 20’s. We will offer approaches to help you identify what areas you need to address now to make this transition the powerful one it calls to be. Now is the time to build a strong foundation for the rest of your life!


Physical health demands to be cared for now. Emotions can show you that you are not enjoying your life as you should be. Deep shadows longing to be healed emerge and beg for the Light. This is a time of POWER… a time of letting go of any part of your life that doesn’t glorify that power in you.


This is a journey that can only be undertaken alone. There may be conflict between opposing choices in careers or relationships as this is the time of transition. Much has been written about this time and it has been called mid-life crises by some. Awakening is what you are being called to do. Awakening to your strength, power, beauty and the timelessness of you that goes on forever.

Awakening to the Divine

The issues and concerns our soul is seeking to heal are found in the blocks and distortions in our energy field. These are caused by trauma, self judgement and limiting beliefs, and block our connection to the Divine and our true nature. By opening up to the spiritual energy that is present, we are able to release these blocks and allow them to come in to balance and alignment. Unresolved issues that are being held on the deepest levels are often released with the additional components of self forgiveness and bringing in the Light of the Holy Spirit. This class teaches a process for accessing the spiritual field that surrounds you and aligning with the energy field of higher consciousness for healing on all levels.

Beginning Meditation with Breathwork

Follow the breath gently into the body to find your inner peace. There are a variety of different breathing techniques that help to open areas of peace inside of you. Change Your Reality by Changing Your Beliefs

This 2 part series is designed to assist you in aligning with your true nature by releasing beliefs that no longer serve your highest good.


Beliefs form the foundation of our view of the world and our reactions to events.  What we manifest is in part due to our beliefs. Our beliefs allow in love and abundance or keep us stuck in unsatisfactory relationships and scarcity. They can help us move forward or sabotage our change.


The beliefs we hold shape our behaviors, our perceptions our concept of who we are and the patterns we keep repeating. Change is difficult if there is an unconscious limiting belief holding the old pattern in place. When we understand that we created these beliefs as a way to make sense of the world or to stay safe, we no longer have to feel like a victim to life's events or because "that's just the way I am."  We can open up to our loving nature and see it all as part of our journey. This class provides tools to assist you in becoming aware of the limiting beliefs in your life, and ways to help you open up to new beliefs that serve who you are at this stage in your life.


Week 1: We will explore how beliefs are formed and how your current reality is a reflection of the beliefs you hold. These beliefs are part of the karmic patterns we’re here to clear.  Through muscle testing and other methods of accessing unconscious information, you will learn to identify the limiting beliefs you’re holding on the deepest level that continue to sabotage moving forward.


Week 2: This class will teach powerful methods that assist in changing beliefs and releasing old patterns.  You will learn to align all levels of consciousness to allow you to integrate the new beliefs into your life.

Clearing Negativity from your Energy Field

Crystal Bowl Meditation

Along with Sue Moon, Sue McCarthy of the Crystal Hearts plays the Crystal Bowls for an hour of meditation and healing. If you have not experienced the peace and bliss that comes from meditating with these pure sounds of light, now is the time. Sue is an accomplished bowl player and is intuitively guided to play these bowls to facilitate in the clearing of negative energies, especially from the chakra system.


The use of singing bowls in Tibet is the subject of much debate and many stories. Some people say they were used for meditation while others say they were magical tools for transformation of self and of matter.


Crystal Toning Bowls, through their healing power of sound, send out positive energy frequencies combined with the energy of the positive intent of the person receiving, and the therapist playing the bowls, that assist in helping the person to become relaxed, centered and receptive to letting go and receiving. The frequencies of the Bowls can help release the energy associated with traumas without having to relive the experiences, and is a way to help the release of anger, fear, anxiety, jealousy, frustration, and resentment, any of the lower destructive emotions, for it is working on all systems and levels.


Scientific information is even coming into agreement that the sounds of the Crystal Toning Bowls, the sounds of the voice toning, and certain music can aid in changing the condition of the body, mind, and emotions. Many modern scientists and doctors are incorporating this type of therapy into their medical practice. Mitchell Gaynor, M.D., director of Medical Oncology and Integrative Medicine at the Strang-Cornell Cancer Prevention Center, uses crystal toning bowls and voice toning in his practice with cancer patients. He chronicles an intensive study of sound healing and a holistic approach to mind-body healing. Do It Now – Strategies for Motivation

Do you have trouble motivating yourself to get things done?  Is it hard for you to get started or complete projects?  Does it seem as though you have no control over your procrastination?

 

The consequences of procrastination can affect every aspect of our lives. When we have trouble motivating ourselves it can block our energy, affect our relationships and self-esteem, and keep us from moving forward in life.  Motivation is more than just having a strong will and forcing yourself to follow through. Following through with outcomes involves co-operation between both the conscious and unconscious minds. Ebb and Flow – Working with the Energies of Your Life

For everything there is a time.  There is a purpose behind what we are going through.  During July we have an opportunity to move through old patterns and create new ones. The energies of this time are designed to bring us into a point of stillness while the new is manifesting and coming in.  This time of stillness can be uncomfortable and cause us to feel like we are doing something wrong. 

 

When we get into judgment, that simply blocks us further. The energies coming in behind this stillness will impel us into new projects and exciting ideas. Understanding that there is an ebb and flow in your life helps you to accept and work with what is happening at the time.

It can be so confusing to know which direction to take in living more ecologically sound and healthy. Learn how to lesson your impact on the environment and help your body release toxins. Sue Moon began to study and live alternatively in 1968. Growing Older Gracefully — Tools for Youthful Living

What does growing older mean to you?


Some people live in denial about growing older.  Others feel their best years are behind them.   And, there are those who have a healthy belief system about who they are at each stage of life, and learn to listen to what their body needs.


This workshop explores the mind/body connection to maintaining a vibrant, youthful energy throughout your lifespan. You will learn to identify and change the beliefs you hold about growing older and how they are part of creating your reality.


This class also teaches specific tools to take care of your physical body and honor what you need.


Let us not buy into stereotypes about growing older, but rather step into our true power and grace during this stage in our lives.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha is an easy-to-learn basic form of yoga that has become very popular in the United States. Hatha Yoga is the foundation of all Yoga styles. It incorporates Asanas (postures), Pranayama (regulated breathing) and meditation. It has become very popular in America as source of exercise and stress management. The ideal way to practice the Hatha Yoga poses (asanas) is to approach the practice session in a calm, meditative mood. Sit quietly for a few moments, then begin the series, slowly, with control and grace, being inwardly aware as the body performs the various poses selected for the practice session. Do not overdo the asanas or try to compete with others. Take it easy and enjoy. Facilitator: Stephanie Watson

Healing States of Consciousness

Whether your intention is relaxation, a sense of peace, healing or connection to Spirit, it can often be difficult to silence our minds long enough in order to access these states. And, there are times that our lives are so filled with stress that it feels like our normal state is one of anxiety. Yet deep within each of us are all the resources we need to deal with life’s issues, solve problems, open up to a sense of peace. We just need to know how to quiet our minds and feelings of stress in order to access these healing states of consciousness available to us all.


This class teaches tools from NLP, Energy Psychology, Theta Healing and Noetic Field Therapy(soul centered). They can be used to deepen your meditation and spiritual practice as well as increase your creativity and problem solving abilities.

Holistic Healing

This six month program is designed to deepen your spiritual practice as well as learn mind/body techniques from different modalities to assist you in clearing negativity on all levels.  It is appropriate for those who facilitate healing with others and/or those who are on a path of their own spiritual and personal transformation. 


The morning will be spent in deepening your awareness of self as Soul, and strengthening your connection to Spirit. In the afternoon, you will learn specific mind/body/energy techniques that will help you move through stuck emotional states or old limiting patterns. 


The class meets 1 Saturday a month beginning in September.  Times are 9:00-1:00.

In our work, it is important to recognize the many ways we influence patient recovery and cooperation with treatment. We will be learning how to gain rapport on all levels; the effects of beliefs (clients and practitioners) on healing;use of language patterns; and, how to utilize the internal motivational and decision making strategies for more effective treatment. Influencing with Integrity

Physical and emotional healing and change depends on a variety of factors. As health care providers, we have the opportunity to be part of this process with our clients. In our work, it is important to recognize the many ways we influence healing and cooperation with treatment. This workshop is designed to explore how to influence with integrity those whom we serve.


Objectives:

  1. Recognize how to develop rapport on all levels, both verbally and nonverbally.
  2. Demonstrate the power of language and beliefs on healing and cooperation with treatment.

Integrative Breathwork

Integrative Breathwork is an ancient spiritual practice both in the east and west.  It is a powerful healer that opens the psyche by removing us from our ordinary state of consciousness, where we are anchored by the way we perceive ourselves and the world around us.  Breathwork is a technique that has been used in many primitive cultures for spiritual awakening. emotional healing, and self empowerment and is treated as a normal and necessary feature of human existence. Our culture is unique in its exclusion the of the altered state experience.  We consider waking, dreaming, and deep sleep as a necessity to our psychological well being, but without accessing this fourth state, we may be depriving ourselves of a basic "nutrient" of a healthy, integrated life. This fourth state provides us with a much expanded view of our human experience.  It is through deep connective breath and the use of evocative cultural music, meditative auto-hypnosis, intuitive bodywork, and symbolic artwork that the deeper strata of the unconscious mind opens and pours out its gifts bringing healing and wholeness.  The combination of these factors evokes feelings and memories that resonate at the same vibration level as the body's cellular memory through the seven levels of consciousness or chakras.  Research has shown that this "non-ordinary" state has a profound therapeutic affect and not only carries the memories of our biological past, but transcends time and space connecting us to the divine mystery, the part of Self that holds much inner wisdom and enlightenment.

Introduction to the Laws of the Universe - The Seven Spiritual Laws

Kids and a Parent Yoga

This is a really fun class for a parent/parents/guardian/aunt/uncle etc. to share with one or more of your beloved children. Ages 5-12 during this class we will learn many animal poses that kids just love! Dog, cobra, snake, crane, cat and so much more! There is a lot of laughter in this class and the bonding that occurs with adult and child is very special to watch and be a part of. Teaches flexibility with care, relaxation techniques that kids can do, and learning about their bodies so they have more awareness of how they move. Not only do the kids benefit greatly from this, but the parents leave these sessions “glowing”.

Kundalini and the Chakras

Kundalini is the energy in each individual that pushes for growth. During releases of the Kundalini energy you may experience great creative times in your life. We will learn to gently release more of this energy to help in your search for deeper meaning, balance, creative energy and more. Kundalini fuels your chakras and helps you to release old negative patterns of resistance that keep you from your happier states. Kundalini I

Whether you are aware of it or not everyone has Kundalini or evolutionary energy flowing in their systems. This is the energy that pushes you to grow towards the light or God. In Kundalini I techniques and meditations are taught to guide or direct this energy. Muscle Testing/Kinesiology

Muscle testing is one way to help you determine if a thing (food, herbs, therapies, etc.) is good for you. The body never lies, we just need to hone our intuitions to hear it. Sue studied Kinesiology for ten years with local herbalists Don and Marge Bahr, and has used it with wonderful results in her 20+year massage and herbal/vitamin practice. Various forms of muscle testing are used in different healing modalities here at the Center and elsewhere. These sessions are designed to inform you of different options and to take back your power when it comes to your healing.

Psychic Heat — Tummo


Tummo is an energy, like Kundalini, Reiki and more, that has vast effects on our well-being and development. If you feel weary or have a buzzy kind of feeling with dry hot flashes, you may be experiencing a tumo flash! Tummo is an excellent healing energy and can bring great strength to the body on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels.

 

This workshop will give basic information and meditations on Tummo so that the participants can use it immediately as a healing tool in their lives.

 

Wikepedia has this to say about Tummo: Tummo is a Tibetan term for a suite of advanced sadhana, contemplative practice, spiritual energetic work or meditation of the Himalayan traditions of Vajrayana and Bön.

 

In common currency, Tummo is related to the description of intense sensations of body heat, that are held to be a partial effect of the practice of Tummo-meditation. Tummo is taught as one part of the six yogas of Naropa. Stories and eyewitness accounts abound of yogi practitioners being able to generate sufficient heat to dry wet sheets draped around their naked bodies while sitting outside in the freezing cold, not just once, but multiple times. These observations have also been discussed in medical articles (Ding-E Young and Taylor, 1998).

 

Tummo, also spelled Tumo, or Tum-mo; sanskrit, a Tibetan word literally meaning "Fierce Woman".

 

The Tummo practices were first described in writing by the Indian yogi and Buddhist scholar Naropa, though the Buddhist tradition holds that the practice was actually taught by Shakyamuni Buddha and passed down orally until the time of Naropa. The Tummo practice is also found in the Tibetan Bön lineage. One of the most famous practitioners of Tummo according to the Tibetan tradition was held to be Milarepa. The biography of Milarepa is one of the most popular among the Tibetan people (Evans-Wentz, 2001). Modern western witnesses of this practice include the adventurer Alexandra David-Néel (David-Néel, 1971), Lama Anagarika Govinda (Govinda, 1988), and anthropologist Dr. John Crook.

 

While the physiological effects of Tummo are well known, they are not the primary purpose of the meditation practice. Tummo is a tantric meditation practice that transforms and evolves the consciousness of the practitioner so that wisdom and compassion are manifested in the individual.

 

It is not considered wise to engage in the practice of Tummo, or any other intense form of meditation, without the supervision of a credible teacher or guide, or without thorough psychological and physiological preparation. Intense, or unsupervised forms of meditation, might sometimes lead to substantial meditation-related problems.

Reiki

Reiki – Level I

Reiki (pronounced Ray Key) is the art and science of channeling the universal life force to promote spiritual, mental, emotional and physical healing.

Reiki – Level II

Reiki I works on healing the physical level, with Reiki II we move to the emotional level of healing. It takes us further into ourselves and gives us more powerful tools for self-discovery. We learn to allow the universal life energy to flow more efficiently. The second degree initiations work on a higher level than the first degree, mainly on the etheric body. Distance healing or absentee healing will be learned. Thoughts, emotions and energy travel just like electromagnetic waves from one point in space to another. The second degree turns us into energy-transmitters across time and space.

Releasing Patterns of Resistance

There is nothing that has happened in our lives that is bigger than us. Nothing. And everything that happens can be used for our learning, up-liftment and coming into a state of wholeness.


However, through our ego, we create patterns of resistance to what is or what has been, if it doesn’t meet our expectations. Our fears, negativity and judgment create an energy pattern that keeps us stuck. This state of resistance is from our lower consciousness, or lower vibration, and blocks creativity, abundance and connection to Spirit.

The Seven Levels of Consciousness

Ancient and current wisdom teaches of the 7 levels of consciousness that we are all functioning on.


Since all vibration is interpenetrating, it is useful to see these not as linear rankings of levels, but as co-existing states of consciousness. We can be thinking, feeling, and acting all at the same time, as well as being loving and inspired. From one point of view, we are all existing on all the levels and Planes simultaneously all the time.


These levels are the Physical, Emotional/Astral, Mental/lower & higher, Buddhic/Love, Atmic/Spirit, Monadic/Archetype, Adi/Divine


During this class each participant will experience their own 7 levels thru breathwork, visualization and meditation. These are powerful tools for healing and transformation. Robert Wilkinson writes eloquently of these levels: “All we know is vibration. From the grossest to the subtlest, the densest to the most ethereal, everything we think, feel, perceive or imagine is vibration. We are told in "esoteric philosophy" that there are 7 "frequency zones" that describe our entire reality and that which is beyond. Today we begin an exploration of what are called the "7 Planes" of our individual and collective existence.


We begin with the dense Physical Plane. This is the plane of matter in all its forms, where all physical structures exist. The second Plane, more subtle than the Physical, is the Astral, or emotional plane. This is the plane of feeling, less dense than the Physical, but more dense than the next plane, the Mental plane.


The Mental Plane is the plane of thought, and is divided into two areas, the Lower Mental and the Higher Mental. The lower mind shows as logical, rational thinking, concrete thoughts about things, feeling, and ideas. The Higher mind is the arena of abstract or subtle thoughts, ideals, aspirations, and philosophical awareness’s.


The 4th Plane is the even more subtle and rarified Buddhic Plane, or Plane of Soul. These are the higher, subtle, evolved loving feelings that we all have all the time, even when the lower thoughts, feelings, and things momentarily distract us from these higher loving feelings. These feelings are altruistic, compassionate, and powerful. This plane is where we are naturally lovingly wise and wisely loving.


The 5th Plane is the Atmic Plane, or the Plane of Spirit. While virtually unsubstantial in a physical, emotional, or mental sense, it is the Plane where "the spark that ignites" originates, inspiring us and changing our lives forever. Some are never sensitive to this plane while alive, while others are touched by it once or even many times.


The 6th Plane is called the Monadic Plane, our Oneness beyond division, our "Father-Mother God in Heaven which is ONE indivisible." This is the Plane of our Divine Archetype. When we pray to Deity, it is this plane we seek to experience and see made manifest. It is associated with the "Anupadaka," from the Sanskrit "parentless", "self-existing", a self-created arising of Eternal existence.


The 7th Plane has no name other than the Divine Plane. It is associated with the "Adi," from the Sanskrit "the first." Other possible associations are "the original," "the creator," "the Source," and "the beginning of existence." Since all vibration is interpenetrating, it is useful to see these not as linear rankings of levels, but as co-existing states of consciousness. We can be thinking, feeling, and acting all at the same time, as well as being loving and inspired. From one point of view, we are all existing on all the levels and Planes simultaneously all the time.


Also, besides all these levels of awareness being active all the time at the same time in all of us, each of these has 7 subplanes within its frequency zone. Thus there is a physical sub-plane, an emotional sub-plane, a mental sub-plane, a Buddhic sub-plane and so forth in each of the 7 Great Planes of Consciousness.


Each sub-plane is a distinct frequency zone in itself. For example, the physical sub-plane of the Physical Plane is matter, the astral subplane of the Physical is water and other liquids, the mental sub-plane of the Physical is air, the Buddhic sub-plane and higher are the sub-planes of Ether in its various stages.


The physical sub-plane of the Astral are dense feelings, often referred to as "emotional thoughtforms." The astral sub-plane of the Astral plane are feelings about feelings, while the mental sub-plane of the Astral are feelings about thoughts, or feeling-infused thoughts. There are feelings about Soul and "higher" feelings, feelings about inspiration and oneness, and feelings about the unknown.


And so it goes, with each Plane having distinct sub-frequencies with their specialized qualities. Various sub-planes resonate with various other sub-planes, as well as Planes, much as certain notes on a piano resonate with other notes, since many similar notes are shared between various keys which may or may not be in harmony or discord with one another.”

The Spiritual Path of the Chakra’s—Your Life’s Journey

We are much more than the physical bodies we see……we are also beings of light energy. In this “light” body are various energy centers called chakras.


“Chakras are vortices through which energy flows both in and out. When developed they rotate like a spinning wheel. Most literature on chakras discusses 7 main chakras, but we actually have hundreds, located all over the body. Each acupressure and acupuncture point is an energy vortex and therefore a chakra. Summer Cooking – Fresh Food from Local Growers

Sue Moon and John Mixan are joining together for their second cooking class. Individually Sue and John bring a lot of information, talent, knowledge and many years of study and teaching to this class.


John has always had a love of health and wellness….. after a scare with cancer he began to take his health seriously and went to the Mischio Kushi Institute to study macrobiotics. His study continued with living at the Optimum Health Institute in San Diego where he learned about cleansing using wheat grass and raw foods. Further learning was acquired in a Yoga Ashram in Virginia. Next training in Life Coaching with Maria Nemeth and most recently has graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City. John offers Life Coaching with an emphasis on health and wellness. With his gentle and easy manner, many are led to feel better and heal.


Sue has a lifetime of gardening, harvesting, preparation and serving of healthy foods. She has studied nutrition and the effects of food on the body in many venues through a Nursing career, Macrobiotic studies and independent studies. She supervised the kitchen at Kripalu Yoga Ashram, was the organic wholefoods cook at a Retreat Center in Arkansas and has taught cooking classes in this area for over 20 years. Sue has offered nutritional consultations since 1985. She knows how difficult changing a diet or lifestyle can be and offers many helpful tips acquired over a lifetime.


This day will be infused with love of food, fun in the kitchen and the joy that comes from preparing and sharing food in community. Attendees can expect to leave the class with a comfortably full stomach as well as some recipes and concrete suggestions as to how they might begin to make lifestyle changes.

Forgiveness-A Path to Healing
Holding onto anger or guilt creates a stuck energy pattern that keeps us locked in to the past. The path to healing will open when we release resentment or others, as well as forgive ourselves for what we've done, and what we've left undone. When we learn to release what no longer serves us, we can give ourselves permission to develop fully.


Speakeasy-Communication Skills for WomenSM
Historically, women have not learned effective communication skills. We have learned to suppress our feelings, avoid conflict, and to deny our internal reality. Alternatively, some take the opposite route by being aggressive, blaming others for our emotional state, and, lashing out in anger as the only way we know to protect ourselves and set limits. The objectives of the course are: identify patterns of communication that are no longer effective; awareness of components of communication (body language, voice tone, intent, energy); identify limiting beliefs that keep you from your outcome; and integrate new skills into daily life. The purpose of this 4 week course is to provide tools of communication that allow women to express their feelings, ask for what they want, and express who they truly are in each relationship.


Coping with Daily Life-Transforming the Energy of Stress

It is not the major events in our lives that create the most stress. Often, it is the seemingly small, day to day stressors that tend to build up and create problems for us physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually. Our thought patterns, how we treat ourselves and others, how we deal with our emotions, and how we react to events are some of the major determining factors to health and life satisfaction. This 4 week course teaches simple, practical tools to deal with events in your life and manage your energy to allow you to feel more in control and enjoy life.


Transforming Anger and Guilt

There is a positive intention behind any feelings of guilt or anger that we have.  Often we learn these responses when we are very young, and get stuck in these patterns, even though we have many more resources as an adult to find other ways of dealing with situations.  For many of us, there are moor stakes in letting go of anger, because we feel we get something out of hanging on to it.  These "secondary gains" are frequently unconscious and very powerful until we become consciously aware of them and find healthier ways to honor this intention.

What is Your Life Reflecting?

(This is designed as a 3 session workshop,
although each session can be taken individually)


If you believed that your life is a mirror and is reflecting your unconscious programming, beliefs and karma, what would your life be reflecting to you? This workshop series deals with the principle that we continue to create our own reality. We will be exploring the ways in each soul is seeking wholeness by bringing the situations and people into our lives that will help us heal. Instead of suffering from the question of “why is this happening to me?”, we can begin to transform our lives by learning to understand, interpret and change our reflection.


Session 1: Your Unconscious Need for Expression

The energy in our unconscious seeks expression. Whether it’s an unresolved emotional pattern, a past trauma or an undeveloped quality that is part of our destiny, this energy needs to express itself. This often comes in the form of continuing to attract the same type of people in our lives who “push our buttons”, or those whose qualities we admire and wish we had. It also presents itself in the reactions we have that we swear we will never do again. We will continue to get the opportunities to release these patterns until we make new choices. This class helps you become aware of the ways in which your unconscious is expressing itself in your life, and teaches tools to help release these stuck states and make new choices.


Session 2: The Creations of Your Beliefs

Beliefs form the foundation of our view of the world and our reactions to events. What we manifest is in part due to our beliefs. Our beliefs allow in love and abundance or keep us stuck in unsatisfactory relationships and scarcity. They can help us move forward or sabotage our change. Change is difficult if there is an unconscious limiting belief holding the old pattern in place. When we understand that we created these beliefs as a way to make sense of the world or to stay safe, we no longer have to feel like a victim to life’s events or because “that’s just the way I am.” This class provides tools to assist you in becoming aware of the limiting beliefs in your life, and tools that help you open up to new beliefs that serve who you are at this stage in your life.


Session 3: Turn and Face Your Karma

When we are out of balance in thought, word or deed, we create karma. Simply put, karma is the law of cause and effect, meaning whatever we send out comes back to us. Karma is not “bad”, nor is it a form of punishment. This energy returns to us in order for us to come into balance and wholeness and allow each soul to learn through all experiences. We are not on this earth to “suffer” through our karma, nor can we avoid it. Our purpose is to transform this energy and learn what we need in order to let go and move to a higher level of consciousness. This class helps you become aware of how karma is set forth in your life and to help learn to let go of resistance and move through these situations with grace.

When Just Saying No Doesn't Work – Growing Beyond Addictions and Compulsions

Being stuck in the grip of an addiction or compulsive behavior can cause life to feel out of control and very limited. How we approach this situation can either help us grow beyond feeling trapped or keep us stuck. This class teaches specific tools that help shift the energy field surrounding these issues, change the way the brain is coding these impulses, and reprogram subconscious beliefs and decisions. You will be learning techniques from Neuro linguistic Programming, Energy Psychology, and Noetic Field Therapy (spiritual healing). This class is appropriate if you are just beginning to address these issues in yourself or can be used in addition to any treatment you may already be receiving. Instructor: Dixie Clark, MS, LPC.

A Woman's Journey Within – Awakening to Our Source

Woman of Substance – Transitions

Women and Relationships – Releasing Co-Dependency

Women often attract the same unsatisfying, even destructive relationships into their lives, and then attempt to change the other person in order to improve them.  We often define ourselves by how others see us, and can feel desperate to receive love and approval from others, often at the expense of our physical and emotional health.  This can be called Codependency.  Symptoms can include: preoccupation with problems of others, persistent anxiety and feelings of dread, avoidance of interpersonal risk, including low trust for others, controlling behavior, over responsibility, manipulative attempts to alter the behavior of others, especially drinking behavior.


This is a very enlightening four week course on your journey to self discovery and learning to love yourself from the inside out, while allowing others their own space to grow and evolve.....loving and letting go.

Working With the Noetic Field: Opening Your Sacred Heart

Noetic Field Therapy is a spiritual approach to personal development and evolution that helps awaken us to our soul, align with our destiny and develop our natural spiritual power. Noetic means spiritual mind, and the noetic field is the psychospiritual energy that surrounds us. The issues and concerns that our soul is seeking to heal are found in the blocks and distortions in our energy field, caused by physical and emotional trauma, self-judgment and limiting beliefs. By opening up to the spiritual energy that is present, we are able to release these blocks and allow them to come in to balance and alignment.


Issues that may have been dealt with in the past, but still unresolved on a cellular level, are often released with the additional components of self forgiveness and bringing in the light of the Holy Spirit. It is such a gentle, compassionate method of healing.


Objectives for this presentation:

  • Teach the process of accessing the noetic field and aligning with the energy field of higher consciousness.
  • Provide an awareness of the blocks in the energy field that represent judgments, distortions and limiting beliefs, and the role self-forgiveness plays in their release.
  • Provide an understanding of the issues contained within each chakra and how each center serves the soulj's activity in specialized ways.
  • Teach specific focus statements and processes that help clear these blocks and align and balance the energy field.

Habits have shaped our lives. Especially the habits of posture, movement and stress. These are patterns that reveal you and show the direction your peace of mind and good physical health are going.

 

In these yoga classes at Morning Star harmony and balance are sought and achieved by many for short and longer periods of time. We learn to skillfully and gently stretch the body relieving tension and bringing greater circulation/healing to “stuck” body parts. The meditation/relaxation allows the practice of asanas (postures) to be fully integrated, leaving you feeling wonderful. Especially at this time of year when emotions and over-eating can weigh heavily on the body, a simple practice done even weekly brings greater harmony to the life.

Your Human Energy Systems

With progress in modern sciences, we are becoming more and more aware that the human organism is not just a physical structure made up of molecules, that we are electrochemical and electromagnetic beings made up of energy fields.


The high energy output that surrounds the human being is not only a means by which we nourish ourselves by attracting other energy of the same frequency and amplitude; it is also a means of protecting ourselves because nothing from a lower energy field can enter a higher energy field.
